Art has always been my passion. From an early age, I was determined to create my art with whatever materials were available. The result of this desire was to include art throughout my education, profession, and into later years.
My interest in sculpture began in high school where I received an Outstanding Performance in Art along with other honors. My art followed me into college where I graduated with a degree in Foods and Nutrition with a minor in Art. My advanced education includes Masters Degrees in Special Education and School Psychology, and several teaching credentials. Art was always emphasized in all of my educational efforts. During my thirty plus year career in public education I tried to include as much exposure to art in my lessons as I could. I found this to be very effective with my special education students. I now teach part-time at the college level and always stress the importance of art in the school curriculum to the future teachers in my classes.
I continue my love of learning about art by attending as many classes and workshops as possible with such notable as: Philippe Faraut, John Coleman, Lincoln Fox, Christopher Slatoff, Betty Davenport-Ford, Cheryl D. Cooper, Joseph Todorovitch, Rob Sherrill, and Cathy Shefer. I belong to several artistic organizations here in Southern California where I show and exhibit my sculptures and oil paintings.
My ambition is to share my creative efforts and my passion for art with as many people as possible.
